J.K. Rowling's record breaking series Harry Potter is definitely a must read for any reader. The first time I read the series I was in (I think) 4th grade. At the time, the unique realm of witchcraft and wizardry sparked my interest in fiction and reading in general. The characters and the plot fed my adolescent mind and I blossomed. Even then, I could have told you it was one of my all time favorite series and that stays true to this day. After reading the series again in the summer of 2014, I gleaned so much more from the pages rather than just a good story. I was able to emotionally connect to each character and really understand and feel what they each had to go through. I felt as if I was part of the books! (except I didn't have a cool wand.) I learned a life lesson with each turn of the page. If you haven't already read the series, I extremely recommend it for anyone. (Especially fantasy lovers) Each book of the series was breathtaking in it's own right and Rowling poured a piece of her heart into each one. She made 7 horcruxes of her own and her legacy will live on in children and adults' hearts and minds forever.
